Being Present Psychology is a private psychology practice on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, managed and operated by Anders Hansson. The office is located in Hornsby.
The mission of Being Present Psychology is to assist people of all ages to free themselves from psychological rigidity that hinders growth and personal fulfilment, to willingly embrace their lives, commit to their values with the ultimate gift of being able to pursue what really matters to them here and now – by being present and in tune with their thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours.
The vision of Being Present Psychology is to understand the presenting concern from an accepting, curious and empathic stance that fosters openness and hope for the person that change is possible through the emergence of psychological flexibility through a range of mindfulness-based cognitive approaches.
Anders has over 20 years of experience as a registered psychologist assisting children, adolescents and adults and seven years in a private practice. Over the span of his career he has developed a wealth of experience addressing psychological concerns that impact peoples’ quality of life. Anders trained to become a psychologist at Macquarie University and commenced his professional career as a psychologist in 1997.
